sam2099. • 4 yr. ago. You do not need any software to get a DS4 working on GTA. It works natively but it will show Xbox controls on screen. Just make sure to have the controller plugged in before launching the game. If you connect it mid game, then it won't recognize it and you'll have to restart the game. Note besides the methods below in the descriptions you can also check out part 2 video:I think you can turn it off in the options menu Only thing I've seen in options is to turn off the light bar effects. Even when my thumbs are slipping off the thumbsticks I never touch the pad. I'm perplexed as to how you guys are holding the controller. I really wish they'd let us turn off the touchpad controls.
